Overview of General Relativistic N-Body Simulation
Presenter
DescriptionIn the past 5 years, efforts have been made to develop b-Body code where gravity is treated using General Relativity using different approaches of numerical relativity, using the weak field expansion, the fully constraint formulation, the BSSN and CCZ4 formulation and finally the harmonic formulation. All those approaches are based on the particle-mesh method as a smooth particle hydrodynamic formulation of General Relativity is not yet existing. In this talk, I will first discuss the difference between Newtonian n-body codes, namely the need of projecting the velocity and stress fields and then discuss the difference between the formulation of the Einstein equation used in the currently existing code. Finally the analysis on the output of relativistic codes will be shortly discussed.
